Findings

Voluntary turnover increased across the board this year from last year. The overall US average changed from 19.20% to 20.20%. The largest increase in turnover occurred in construction and other services, followed by wholesale and retail trade. Education and Arts were two industries with a noticeable decrease in turnover. Transportation also saw slight improvement. The government turnover rate had a slight overall increase, but at the federal level, turnover went down. Regionally, all areas had slight increases in turnover from prior year, with the West having the largest increase of 1.4% from 20.5% to 21.9%.
